The purpose of the blog is to reflect, share, collaborate and dig deep into the labryinth of the complexities on the subject of “interactivity” and “communities of practice” via the online blog. These communities and the Web 2 phenomenon are having a significant impact on the they way we learn, teach, study, socialise, work and generally live our every day lives. As educators we do need to be aware of the educational potential of these new platforms.
Another facet of this blog is to deepen my own understanding of sharing in an online community whether that be through a blog like this, micro blogging sites like Twitter, multi-media sharing sites like YouTube and Flickr.
As we know, social media is not a fad. It is a phenomenon we should engage with.
